Giving back to the community is more than a gesture for us. It’s a core part of who we are as a family-run company. While many know us for our fishing trips and outdoor adventures, our commitment extends far beyond business. We actively support local organizations that make a real difference, especially those focused on youth and the environment. This post shares how we contribute through donations and sponsorships, highlighting the impact these efforts have on the people and places we care about. Family Business Gives Back through Donations and Sponsorships

Supporting Youth through the Kids Can Catch Program
One of our proudest partnerships is with the Alberta Conservation Association (ACA). Each year, we donate fishing trips that are auctioned off at the Taber Pheasant Festival. All proceeds from these auctions go directly to the Kids Can Catch program and foundation. This program introduces children to fishing and outdoor activities, encouraging a lifelong appreciation for nature.
This year’s Kids Can Catch event was held at Wabamun Lake, drawing over 1,305 participants. It was the second largest event in the program’s history, showing how much the community values this opportunity. Being listed as a Premium Sponsor by the ACA reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting youth engagement in conservation and outdoor recreation.
Helping the Arts Thrive with the Nina Haggerty Centre

Our community involvement isn’t limited to outdoor activities. We also support the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts, an organization dedicated to empowering artists with developmental disabilities. We donate fishing trips that are auctioned at their fundraising events.
One of these trips recently sold for $1,200, with every dollar going back to the Centre. This support helps fund programs, workshops, and resources that allow artists to express themselves and grow their talents. It’s rewarding to know our donations contribute to such meaningful work in the arts community.
Encouraging Active Youth with Shredmonton Inline

Physical activity and youth engagement are important to us, If you know myself and my Son Bryce, We spend a great deal of time doing outdoor sports. That’s why we support Shredmonton Inline, a local nonprofit rollerblading organization. Each year, we donate $150 as a prize for the youth division at their Summer Skate Series Event.
This small contribution helps encourage young people to stay active, develop new skills, and build confidence through sport. Supporting Shredmonton Inline aligns with our belief that outdoor activities and physical fitness are vital for healthy communities.
More Than a Fishing Company: A Family That Cares
We are not just a fishing company. We are a family that cares deeply about the community we live in. Our donations and sponsorships reflect our values and our desire to make a positive impact. Whether it’s through supporting youth programs, arts organizations, or local sports, we love helping where and when we can.
Our involvement is personal. We see the faces of the kids at Kids Can Catch, and the young inline skaters like my son at Shredmonton Inline. These connections remind us why giving back matters. It strengthens our community and builds a better future for everyone.
